Leïla Slimani is an award-winning Franco-Moroccan author celebrated for her fearless exploration of identity, gender, and power. Born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1981, Slimani was raised in a multicultural household shaped by Moroccan and French influences. After studying in Paris at Sciences Po, she began her career as a journalist before turning to fiction. Slimani’s breakout novel, *Lullaby* (*Chanson douce*), won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 2016, captivating readers worldwide with its chilling portrayal of motherhood and class tensions.
